Dr. Tom Ascol is the Executive Director of Founders Ministries and Editor of The Founders Journal. He is also Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Florida, where he has served since 1986. He received a BS from Texas A & M University and the MDiv and PhD degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is editor of the books Reclaiming the Gospel and Reforming Churches and Dear Timothy and author of From the Protestant Reformation to the Southern Baptist Convention: What Hath Geneva to Do with Nashville? He has contributed articles and chapters to numerous publications. He regularly contributes to the Founders Blog and also blogs at tomascol.com.

Dr. Fred Malone is the pastor of First Baptist Church, Clinton, Louisiana. He received the MDiv degree from Reformed Theological Seminary and the PhD degree in New Testament from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of Baptism of Disciples Alone. He wrote the smaller work A String of Pearls Unstrung  and co-wrote with Ernest C. Reisinger the introduction to the republished version of Abstracts of Systematic Theology by James P. Boyce.

Dr. Tom Nettles s widely regarded as one of the foremost Baptist historians in America. He is Professor of Historical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He is the author of numerous articles and books, including By His Grace and For His Glory and Baptists and the Bible (with Russ Bush), Stray Recollections, Short Articles and Public Orations of James P. BoyceWhomever He Wills (edited with Matthew Barrett), and Living by Revealed Truth: The Life and Pastoral Theology of Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

Dr. Phil Newton is the Pastor of South Woods Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He moved to Memphis and planted South Woods in 1987. Phil received his MDiv from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and his DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary. He also received a PhD from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and serves as an adjunct professor through Southeastern’s Equip Network. He has published articles in several journals and has authored Conduct Gospel-Centered Funerals (with Brian Croft),Venture All for God: Piety in the Writings of John Bunyan (with Roger Duke and Drew Harris), and The Way of Faith. He recently published Elders in the Life of the Church (with Matt Schmucker; a revised and expanded edition of a previous book, Elders in Congregational Life).
