The purpose of this forum is to help churches looking for Founders-friendly ministers and to help Founders-friendly ministers looking for interested churches. All posts to the list will be screened to make sure they conform to this purpose.
To use this list, you must be in substantial agreement with the views and aims of Founders Ministries.
Please be aware that in allowing churches and potential ministers to use this service, Founders Ministries does not thereby endorse any of the parties for their stated purpose in using it. This forum is provided only as a service to churches and potential ministers; all parties should use due discernment in evaluating the opportunities discovered through this forum.
In addition, you should use discretion in what you choose to post in this forum. While we attempt to ensure that all subscribers have a legitimate purpose for having access to the forum, we cannot guarantee that all of them do.
You should include all the content in the body of your post rather than in an attachment. The web archive does not post attachments, so any content that is contained exclusively in an attachment won’t show up on the web archive.
Be careful about the format in which you post. The posting will appear in plain text. Lines may or may not wrap where you want them, so the best strategy is to keep the lines shorter than a typical screen width and put your own line breaks in the message where you want them.
The content of your email to email@example.com will be passed verbatim to the list and to the archive. This means that you should not include explanations to the moderator or other comments that you don’t want to be a part of your actual posting. Furthermore, the subject line you choose will become the subject line of your post.
Your name will appear beside your post exactly as it appears in the From: line of your email. If you don’t have the From: line set to your name, only your email address will appear.
Postings on the web archive will expire after approximately four months. Postings will not be removed until they expire even if you find a position or minister. If you want your information on there longer than four months, you should repost once it has expired.
We encourage all parties to use due diligence and Christian prudence in investigating your opportunities. We recommend that search committees consider using a tool such as Questions for a Prospective Pastor by Jim Elliff and Don Whitney as you consider candidates.
If your church is looking for an interim pastor, we suggest that you contact nearby pastors through our Church Search to see if they have anyone they can supply or recommend who is nearby.
To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Minister-search Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
Once you are subscribed, you should post a message to the forum. This message should contain a description of the position you’re seeking to fill or the position you’re seeking, as well as supporting information. This will make the information available to other subscribers of the forum but not to the general public.
To post a message to all the list members, send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you find a church or a minister through this forum, we ask that you notify us so we can update our records as well as gauge the effectiveness of this service.
