Our current age rebels against God’s design, claiming that true virtue arises from egalitarianism. Anything less than equal outcomes, equal roles, equal opportunities, and equal responsibilities must be due to oppression. In other words, everyone deserves a trophy. In fact, they deserve the exact same trophy. 

But that is not the way that God has designed His world to operate. Contending for God’s design against the cultural zeitgeist is regarded as unloving and authoritarian, if not completely abusive.

Attempts to flatten God’s design and erase distinctions have ravaged our culture, our families and our churches. As God’s people we must reject the egalitarian spirit of the age and display the wisdom and goodness of our Lord in making the world with differences and inequalities. Getting aligned with God’s revealed will for the world, the church, and the home enables us to live refreshed lives.
