Help Founders Ministries spread God’s Word

We don’t often make direct appeals for support of Founders Ministries, primarily because we believe that the Lord will provide resources for all that He intends for us to do. Furthermore, we don’t want the importance of the work to which we are committed to be hindered in any way by the misunderstanding that such appeals can provoke. Through the years Founders has been blessed by men and women as well as churches who understand and support our efforts to see the Gospel recovered and local churches renewed. These individuals and churches have supported this work through their prayers, personal encouragements and gifts. Only eternity will tell the story of how investments in this work have impacted the cause of Christ around the world, and that is the way that it should be. All glory goes to our Lord for every advance of His kingdom. The opportunity to enter into His kingdom and participate in its expansion is pure grace.

The Lord does give us tokens of His favor from time to time. For Founders, such tokens often come in the form of phone calls, emails and letters. Just last week I received a letter from an inmate in a state penitentiary. He found a Founders Press book in the prison library that was used by God to greatly encourage him. He writes,

I’m writing with the hope that you may be able to help me? As you can see, I am currently incarcerated and do not have the means to purchase a lot of the Christian material. I found a book published by you called, “Whomever He Wills” a surprising display of sovereign mercy.

I was absolutely taken back by the sound doctrinal content! I loved it! I passed it on to several of the brothers who were also forced to change some of the views they once had. Praise be to God for his divine mercy and patience.

My question is that do you have any books or other Christian material with the same doctrinal content that could help us? We would be most appreciative with whatever you could send. We are hungry for the truth of God’s word. Thank you for your ministry.

We sent this brother several other titles to help him and his fellow inmates in the study of God’s Word.

A mother sent us this note after securing a copy of Truth and Grace Memory Book 1 :

We purchased this for our toddler who needed more than we could get out of Sunday School and Children’s church. What a fabulous book!! We recommend for everyone! Starting at 2 yrs of age children can learn to internalize the truth of God’s word in a way that makes sense to them and is age appropriate. Although we are also involved in AWANA and there is some overlap, this book (and series) is a wonderful tool for parents who want to train their children but really don’t know where to start. This series make sit easy and gives us confidence that our daughter is truly falling in love with God and His word!!

Another brother writes,

Wow! What a great surprise I received today at mail call when I received your kind and generous books from Founders Press. It was wonderful to receive a bound copy of the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith. I was unaware of the Confession until about two years ago when I was studying the LORD’s Sermon on the Mount and some of the material I received described one of the commentators as a “1689 Reformed Baptist”. When I learned what the meant, I had someone send me a loose copy of the Confession from the internet. It is so nice to now have a bound copy!…

I do pray for the LORD to continue to bless and increase the labors of Founders in proclaiming the gospel and spreading the fame of our great and glorious LORD and Savior, and that He would bring Revival so that more might glorify Him and enjoy Him forever. This He will accomplish!

At this time of year it is appropriate to say “Thank you” to all those who have prayed for, given to or otherwise encouraged the work of Founders through the years. As we come to the close of another year, if the Lord has prospered you and you are willing and able to invest in His kingdom’s work above and beyond your support of your own church, know that all those involved in the day-to-day ministry of Founders will be very grateful for your gifts, as will those whose lives will be spiritually helped as a result.
