The apostle Paul tells us to “See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority (Colossians 2:8-10). It should surprise no Christian that such philosophies exist in the world and press in on the church. We at Founders Ministries have increasingly seen these godless systems of thought and their influence upon Christian thought and practice. The film By What Standard identifies these worldly ideologies and depicts their influence. It is our hope and prayer that the church of Christ would keep watch over their doctrine and practice as we acknowledge the authority of Christ.
